Amazing!

Jennifer Lutz was amazing.  Not only is she a true friend, she is an amazing designer to say the least.  Sometimes working with a friend can be tricky, but with Jen it was easy.  Jen is so talented in her work that my project became just another extension of our ever growing friendship.  My review is heartfelt and honest.  

My house needed an update.  I didn’t want to gut the whole house, but there were features that just looked so out-dated, they needed to be addressed.  However I wasn’t sure how?  My house is full of warm tones and I wanted a way to freshen it up subtly without bringing in too many cool tones, but just enough.  

We started with my grand staircase, by refinishing the banister and replacing the carpet on the steps with a beautiful travertine. Each step individually cut to fit the grand curve perfectly.  We took the same custom finish from the banister and carried it throughout my home -  in my den, butler pantry, library, master bedroom, even my upstairs laundry and bath areas.  Jen also suggested we lighted up the dark coffered ceilings in my den and library by painting it all white, and boy did that do the trick!  My coffered ceilings now show so much more detail that I find myself laying on the couch and just gazing up in ah of the beautiful details that were once hidden behind all the dark original tones. 

Then we moved into the kitchen.  My kitchen is large and highly functional, however I had no excitement to utilize it because of how dingy the oak cabinets looked.  I have this big beautiful house and my kitchen felt like a large dungeon.  Rather than tearing out the kitchen, which was my first guess - Jen suggested we faux finish with a light distressed look, that is more soothing and refreshing for our family.  We went with a lighter, more natural tone in the kitchen that also carried throughout the home’s other wood details.  I’m so happy with Jen’s suggestion and feel it brings the perfect balance to my home and family. 

Lastly, Jen helped me with new decor throughout the home. We shopped until we dropped and it all came together perfectly.  Her attention to detail and her eye for color is something that I didn’t inherit and I’m so thankful I found her talent!

Jens crew was top-notch as well.  They delivered on time and as promised. They were kind and professional when working around my busy-bee family.  I would highly recommend Jennifer Lutz Interiors to everyone in need of a special touch!
